Andrew Howard
Chartered Surveyor · Chartered Builder · RICS Accredited Expert Witness · Construction Adjudicator
Forty years in construction. Thirty-four with a principal contractor. Fifty-nine adjudications. Over three hundred contracts. An LLB, an MBA, three RICS specialist certificates and three senior professional fellowships.
Andrew Howard is the Director of ADHPRO Consulting, the practice he established in 2018 to provide independent adjudication, expert witness and quantum services to the construction industry.
Before founding ADHPRO, Andrew spent thirty-four years with a building contractor, progressing from Assistant Estimator in 1984 to Director and Quantity Surveyor in 2004. In that time he worked hands-on as a bricklayer on residential and commercial sites, moved through estimating and quantity surveying, and led contracts, dispute resolution and commercial functions at director level.
That practical grounding — a career that started on site and ended in the boardroom — is the foundation of every report, decision and opinion the practice produces. It is why instructing solicitors and barristers find his evidence and decisions rooted in how construction actually works, not merely how contracts are written about it.
